For more information, call Chris Duggar @ 303-829-2438 or go to www.qidenver.com · Wednesday evening runs are through Cheesman Park in Denver at 6:30 p.m. The group meets at the office of Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods (CHUN) – 1290 Williams St. We start running in the park and through the neighborhood; depending on the route we run 3-4 miles. · Sunday training runs will begin at 9 a.m. at the Qi. The group runs various routes in City Park and Park Hill, and the distance can vary from 5-10 kilometers according to your training schedule. Course Description: City Park is located just East of Downtown. This is a nice run for city residents seeking a scenic jog in the Mile High City. The park is home to the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Science and History, and the city golf course. On the East and North side the path is a dirt trail. On the West and South sides there is a sidewalk to follow. This is an enjoyable loop, shaded by many old trees. Listen to the squawk of the animals as you pass the Zoo, or watch the golfers as you circle the North side. The CHUN office is located on the north side of Denver’s Cheesman Park. Cheesman features a nice running path shaded by trees which is 1.5 miles around, and is next to the Denver Botanic Gardens. Runs at this location also include routes through the various neighborhoods including Capitol Hill, Country Club, Congress Park, Cherry Creek North. After the run, socialize on the patio of the historic Tears-McFarlane mansion (1290 Williams St.) located on Cheesman Park.
